Jodi Rinard – Head Coach
Jodi learned to vault at Mount Holyoke College and has been vaulting, competing, and coaching since 1986. She passed her American Vaulting Association Silver Medal in 1998. Jodi was AVA Mentor and Coach of the Year in 2015. Jodi’s own home bred and trained Xena also won Horse of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Her Mile High Teams have won A Team of the Year, B Team of the Year, C Team of the Year and Trot Team of the Year over the years! Jodi’s AVA coaching accomplishments prior to founding Mile High Vautlers include the 1999 Trot Team National Champions (Albuquerque Vaulters) and the 2001 Trot Team Champions (Emerald City Vaulters). In real life, Jodi is an accountant. Her other activities include raising 4 daughters, and a passion for reading science fiction.
Dena Madden – Assistant Coach
Our very own family physician, Dena began vaulting in 2003, at the age of 46, when she saw how much fun her children were having with it. Initially, she was vaulting therapeutically for spinal problems and thoracic outlet syndrome, then recreationally, and finally competitively. In 2010, she moved to Canter, and has been assistant coaching for the Mile High Vaulters. She passed her AVA Bronze medal in 2017 on her birthday in April. She is the club secretary and the unofficial team “mom”. Having never done anything with sports until beginning vaulting, she thinks that one is never too old to begin an athletic career. She is especially interested in growing therapeutic and adult vaulting.
Allison Mitchell – Assistant Coach
Bio to come…
Eric Rinard – Jack of all trades, Master of most
Eric is a supportive husband, father and vaulting partner who takes care of all the behind the scenes to keep things running at Atlantis Farm and Peaches Arena. He does all the barn maintenance, opens his home to wayward traveling vaulters and even fills in when we need an extra vaulter for the team.
Jorden Hobbs –Lunger & dressage rider/trainer
Jorden began as Mile High’s horse trainer, providing dressage riding and training for many horses in the barn including Xena, Sampson, Hampton and most recently Fitz.
Deann German – Vaulting Horse Trainer
DeAnn was born and raised in Los Angeles. She has been involved with horses since she was about seven and performed in C level hunter/jumping until she was in high school, then started competing with driving miniature horses. DeAnn stopped being able to work with horses while going to school to be a Physical Therapist, which she has now been practicing for 22 years. She renewed her involvement with horses when she met Jodi (which is actually a funny story but too long to tell here). She started riding Shelby in 2008 and then started lunging for the vaulters about six months later. DeAnn has been married 20 years and has lived in California, Virginia and Colorado.
Andrea Bruno – Lunger & Groom
Andrea is always seen at the barn, carrying tack, grooming a horse, lunging for warm-up, lunging for vaulters, picking a horse’s foot, sweeping the barn, cleaning tack, or giving a hand wherever it is needed! She is also developing as a role as the club’s vet tech in training and is hoping to pursue Vet Tech schooling next year. She is invaluable to Mile High, and has been able to provide a level of warmth and caring support that makes her sort of like a barn “Auntie” to both vaulters and horses. Andrea herself was a vaulter at Rolling Clover Vaulters in Colorado for many years, and you may find Andrea assisting coaching at both team and individual practices.
